A Training Officer position is available for qualified and experienced candidates who have aspirations of solidifying their expertise in Mining Equipment Operations. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The purpose of this role is to plan and manage all aspects of training and skills development in the workplace with the intention to ensure employees are developed and their performance is improved.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- National Diploma in Human Resources (NQF 6 or equivalent)
- 3–5 years of proven experience in a Training and Skills Development position
- Accreditation with MQA/CETA as an Assessor or Moderator
- Experience as a Skills Development Facilitator
- Proven experience in planning and project management of training interventions
- Experience in the design and development of training material is an advantage
- Experience in a mining environment is an advantage
- Possession of a valid Driver’s Licence
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Take all reasonable measures to ensure that all persons under your charge are properly and adequately instructed on the correct and proper use of such machinery or equipment.
- Identify training needs and enhance employee skill levels accordingly
- Develop an annual training programme to address identified training needs
- Oversee the delivery of technical and non-technical training to improve employee performance
- Prepare monthly training plans, conduct post-training evaluations, and submit reports
- Design and develop training materials and course content
- Engage with training service providers to coordinate interventions
- Manage and monitor the implementation of training initiatives
- Prepare and submit data and reports related to Skills Development Facilitation
- Liaise with SETAs on skills development programmes and interventions
